The failure to capture our minds

Oblivion to the intellectual curiosity 

Corruption curated by the device, hand-held 

We forget to handhold. 

The love we share goes unwavering 

Till the mind wavers 

We go blank to the pain hiding underneath the smiles 

The smiles in fear of transparency

A courtesy to those we love 

Hold more than the surface can bear

The beast unleashes at night

Stars can only hear the weeps of the mind 

The un-openminds fail to open ears 

We promise to be there in the shadows 

A broken vow.
